Leftover donuts

Hel-luuuu peeps!

Hello, hello....!! how was your weekend, beautiful people? mine was quite hectic. this year we didn't celebrate little kiddo's birthday as big as last year... it was on a smaller scale but still required our energy, time & moolah... Pictures tak berapa nak ambik sangat pasal busy melayan tetamu who were mostly relatives. oh yeah, the party was held at my sister's place cos nak coincide with her house warming. she just moved in in december 2009, so buat sekali harung je la... last year we did the party at a club in shah alam, so much moolah spent on it so kira kitorang nak alternate kan the celebration la...that means insyaAllah next year we can do it on a bigger scale pulak... huhu...

ok, back to the topic... do u know that donut shops do not keep their leftover donuts? when they close their businesses for the day, they will throw all the leftovers... do u know that? dunkin donuts & krispy kreme do this, but i don't know about J.co & big apple. camane i bleh tau? mai sini nak citer...



a few years ago me & hubby balik dari semayang terawikh kat bukit damansara. you know la kan terawikh ni habis lambat cam dlm pukul 9 lebih - 10 pm camtu... then we stopped by pusat bandar damansara nak beli donuts kat situ cos we planned to go to hubby's aunty's house kat bangsar. nak bawak buah tangan la kononnya...masa beli tu staff2 kat dunkin donuts tu soh we all ambik lagi donut2 kat situ cos dia kata leftovers ni semua akan dibuang jap lagi... kitorang pun apa lagi hangkut la seberapa byk yg boleh & hubby sedekah sket kat masjid bangsar...


second incident plak last week. my kiddo called me & mintak i belikan cake & donuts. balik kerja i singgah la giant shah alam cos nak beli groceries. habis beli groceries tu dlm pukul 7 pm camtu. i pegi la secret recipe belikan cake for kiddo. then i pegi la dunkin donuts cos dunkin donuts je la pun ada kat giant. i pun order la munckin yg 12 pieces tu cos setakat utk budak 3 years old je la kan.. then budak dunkin tu ckp suruh i ambik byk2 sikit tapi dia still akan charge i for 12 pieces je...i pun apa lagi isi la setakat yg boleh dlm kotak donuts tu.. i tanya budak tu apsal diorang tak bungkus bwk balik utk family. dia ckp management dunkin tak kasi cos diorang takut staff2 ni bwk balik jual. so they prefer to throw away all the donuts dari staff2 ni bwk balik...

krispy kreme plak i know cos i memang pernah dengar about this... big apple & j.co plak i tak pernah lagi beli malam2, setakat pegi siang hari je... maybe kalau pegi malam pun boleh dpt free jugak kot...

so people, moral of the story is go buy your donuts at night only cos the probability of getting more free donuts is high!
